Schools function best when supported by a community of interested, involved parents and families. Supporting Odyssey Academy happens in many ways: by being engaged in your child's education, actively reading with your child, donating your time and talents, volunteering in your child's classroom, or serving on our Board or one of it's subcommittees.

Lunchroom Assistant
We are always looking for adults to help in the lunchroom during the day - help open milk and other lunch items, and assist students with their lunch trays.

Academic Support Provide support to students in their studies. This is a fundamental form of involvement for all families. Studying with your child and nurturing his/her learning allows families to understand where their child is at in the learning and developmental process. - Sign up for our Mentor Program. If you have the time, we have students who would love to have you as a mentor. Contact the office if you are interested.
- Help out our teachers with supplies, planning, or logistics.
- Share your time and talents as a volunteer in a classroom as a Room Parent.
- Help us out with your computer skills.
Interested in helping out? Contact the Office Volunteering Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom, at Odyssey Academy school events, or through involvement in Odyssey Academy groups and committees. These opportunities enable parents to be engaged in their child’s classroom and school life. - Provide informal training in an appropriate area of expertise.
- Organize a workplace tour for students at your place of work.
- Help clean up Odyssey Academy. Join other parents, students, and community members by lending a hand to clean up our school and grounds.
Interested or have your own ideas? Contact the Office Building Community Becoming part of the Odyssey Academy School community enables each of us to partner in the education process. Parents, families, and relatives are all encouraged to attend at least three events a year. Check our Calendar for the dates of upcomming events. - Become involved in your child's academic life. - Odyssey Academy knows that learning should not stop at the entrance to the school. The following is a listing of community outreach programs and services we support.
Our 2010-2011 food drive was our most successful ever! We donated over 1450 food items to help fight hunger in our community. Our 2010-2011 student council conducted a sock and mitten drive for homeless children and families. Our student council visited the shelter to donate the collected socks and mittens. We hope to work with Family Promise on more community service projects in the future.
